The first millenary of Goulaine was bright, the next is already on its way… Built around 950, in the heart of present Nantes wine region, reconstructed by the end of the 15th century and listed as a historical monument, Goulaine is the most westerly of all the Loire Valley castles. Owned by one of the oldest wine producer families, Goulaine remains one of the last Loire chateaux still holding its own vineyards.
