The 2022 Càirdeas honors the distillery’s iconic Warehouse 1. Constant sea spray and storm drenching lend a rich shoreline astringency to the classic Laphroaig flavors of peat, smoke, and salt. Warehouse 1’s rare four-story construction, with varying levels of temperature and humidity, exploits its exposed position on the shoreline to tease out these enigmatic flavors.
Bottled at a fixed strength of 52.2%, this release honors a treasured partner whose contribution to Laphroaig’s renowned flavor profile is now given well deserved recognition.
