Se Busca Madrecuishe is a wild-varietal mezcal made from 100% fully grown wild-harvested Madrecuishe agave, roasted in an earthen pit, crushed with a Tahona stone and double-distilled in traditional copper-pot stills. Due to the agave’s dense heart and low water content, Se Busca Madrecuishe offers an intensely flavored mezcal.
Se Busca Madrecuishe is a limited production mezcal distilled in the mountains of San Juan del Rio, Oaxaca at the Lopez Sosa Distillery. This family-owned Palenque has been crafting mezcal for over 200 years.
Se Busca Madrecuishe is crafted from the wild and fully matured 12-year old Madrecuishe agave. For each wild agave harvested two are planted.
