The fortified village of Larressingle, one of the most perfect examples of medieval architecture still in existence, echoes the history of feudal Gascony. It has overlooked the gently rolling fields and vineyards of northern Armagnac for over seven centuries, and in this tranquil, bucolic corner of France, belongs more to the past than to the present. Surrounded by its vineyards, the Château de Larressingle has graced the Gascon countryside for seven centuries. Built by the Bishops of Condom in 1250, it is today the sole property of the Papelorey family. Five generations of the Papelorey family have overseen their cellars nurturing the secrets of the subtle marriage of Bas-Armagnac and Tenareze which slowly unfold in the casks. Etablissements Papelorey, beyond its ownership of the Château de Larressingle, is proprietor of extensive cellars housed in an ancient Carmelite convent in Condom, as well as the region’s most advanced blending and bottling facilities. Generations of tradition and experience served by the advantages of modern technology have gained Larressingle Armagnac a reputation second to none as a spirit of consistent excellence, faithful to its “terrior” of origin. To their exacting care and patience is due the renown of the most extraordinary brandy : Larressingle Armagnac. 



Fruity, rich Bas-Armagnacs are blended with a small proportion of Ténareze brandies to yield a spirit of elegance and finesse which is full, spicy and vinous, with plum and prune notes in the lingering, mellow finish.
