The most recognizable bottle in the Jack Daniel’s family of whiskeys is the Black Label bottle. Accounting for almost 96% of Jack Daniel’s annual whiskey sales, today the Black Label brand is the #1 selling whiskey in the world with around 150 million bottles sold worldwide every year.

Not only has the Black Label bottle been available in three different proofs in the last 25 years, but each proof has also been offered in a variety of sizes. Along with the different whiskey proofs and bottle sizes, Jack Daniel’s occasionally makes changes to the look of their bottles as well.

In the spring of 2011, a change to the Black Label bottle was introduced. The bottle’s shape is generally the same as the Heritage bottle, but with prominent corners and edges that emphasize the square look even more. What also makes this modification significant is that it was accompanied by a label change as well.
